Are you confused, uncertain or just plain worried about your job or career? You needn’t be! Jesus Christ says in Matthew 6:25 that we are not to worry about trying to get our job and career needs met our way; but to put Him first and those needs will be taken care of.
Whenever we put other things first–before our relationship with Christ, confusion results and we allow ourselves to be victims of the cares of this world. We vacillate from one extreme to another. One moment we focus on the things of God like prayer, Scripture reading, meditation, and obedience to His commands; and the next moment we stress out about career plans, job situations, impending layoffs or even job-related disciplinary actions. This leads to utter confusion.
Watch Out For The Little Worries
It’s easy to spot the big challenges and obstacles on the job or in a career. They readily stand out and literally block the career path we’ve so painstakingly mapped out; but it’s the little worries–the everyday career minutiae that usually trip us up.
Little worries are the subtle and seemingly practical details that repeatedly disturb or disrupt career plans. They persistently tug at the mind for attention and focus. But, focusing on these worries is wrong. Why? Because when we worry about little or big things, it demonstrates that we don’t think God can take care of the pragmatic details of our careers.
God’s Prescription for Curing Worry
God’s prescription for curing worry is two-fold. First, you must have His Spirit living within you. This can only be done by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, his death and resurrection and atonement for your sins. Second, you must listen to and obey the Spirit as He teaches you how to trust God to take care of all the details of your job, career and life; and how to rest in Him as He does it.
Ask God to open the eyes of your heart and reveal His TRUTH as you read, study and meditate on these Scriptures.

Stop stressing out and trying to cope on your own with career life. Take off the pressure of trying to figure it all out by yourself and place it where it truly belongs–on Jesus Christ.
