To discover, understand, and live out God’s purpose for you requires the recognition, realization, and fulfillment of a personal vision and calling. This personal vision articulates what your area of service looks like as you see it in your head or as you attempt to communicate it to others. It answers two questions:
- Why do I exist on this earth (Purpose)?
- What is my area of service in obedience to the Great Commission, and where do I fit in (Calling)?
To receive clarification from the Holy Spirit about your personal vision and calling, commit to undertake this prayer series for 40 days. Take the following steps:
READ the assigned Scripture passage silently first; then out loud.
MEDITATE on what you have read.
PRAY the passage back to God. Ask for wisdom and understanding.
APPLY what you have learned to your life each day.
