This prayer is from my Prayer Journal where I keep my intimate dialogues with the Father. Writing out my prayers is one of the ways I pray. It’s encouraging to read them at a later date and see how the Lord has answered them.
I’m sharing this to show how we can go to the Lord with everything that concerns us. He is Abba, Father, our “Heavenly Daddy”, and He is just as eager to hear from us as our earthly Daddies.
Sometimes I approach Him formally. Other times, like in this prayer, I just lay my head on His shoulder and say “LORD, I really need Your comforting Presence right now.” Either way, I’m completely assured of being welcomed!
My LORD,
Good Morning. It’s one of those mornings LORD where I just want to shake my head and say JESUS…JESUS…JESUS. I have no idea why I woke up with a little bit of gloom (just a little bit), but nevertheless, I did. So, what shall we do about it LORD? Will You please search me and bring awareness of any hidden thing within me?
I am speaking from the heart today LORD. No fancy phrases or words. Just You and me and bluntness. Sometimes I feel so tired— Why? Sometimes I just want to hide away from the world— Why? Most of the time I just want to learn all that I can about You and spread all of my knowledge. Or should I keep it to myself for awhile— let it simmer and season my very soul, then tell the world? You decide.
LORD…LORD…LORD. I want to come to You as a little child. Please teach me how. Thank You…Thank You…Thank You… for all that I have learned about You and for all that You have let become revelation knowledge in me. I just love it when Your Word takes root in my spirit, starts ministering to my soul, then starts to change my life and the way that I think. I want more and more and more of You. I want all of You that You will let me have. Not to keep You to myself, but to help all of those that You would have me to help.
Well enough about me. Thank You for everything. Thank You for all of my loved ones and the perfect care that You give to them.
Who shall I pray for today LORD? Bring them to mind and help me to pray for them in Your Will. Thank You again for all that You are teaching me.
So My LORD, Your Precious SPIRIT dwells within me. Move anything out of Your way that will hinder me from showing Your Presence, and LORD go before me in all things and prepare my way today. LORD I love You. I ask and say Thank You in JESUS Name. Amen.
