A job search mindset has seven components:

  1. A positive outlook and belief that job search goals can be reached.
  2. Confidence in skills and ability to perform the jobs for which they have applied.
  3. A relaxed and non-anxious professional demeanor.
  4. Alertness to the many job opportunities that may come their way.
  5. Thorough preparation to perform well.
  6. A focus on successful outcomes.
  7. Willingness to use failure and mistakes as learning tools to make appropriate job search course corrections.
