Hello,

My name is Nicholas Rubright (I go by Nick), and I'm 18 years old and in college. I want to be an entrepreneur, and have wanted to as long as I can remember. I wanted this since about 4 years old when I wanted to own my own railroad system, and everything I've ever wanted to do, I've always wanted to be the biggest and best in the business. I'm extremely competitive. When I was younger, I didn't think too much of it, I just wanted it, but now that I'm older, I'm starting to work towards my lifelong dreams more and more, and it doesn't seem impossible, but I'm never sure if God wants it. All my life I've wanted to be the next Microsoft, or Google, or Apple, but sometimes I think to myself "Why would God want this for me? How would my goals help him in any way at all?" This desire I have is all I think about morning, day, and night. I'm constantly looking for reasons that God would want me to pursue it because I don't see how it'd help him. I've had a desire to be the big businessman all my life, I fantasize about being on the cover of Time magazine or Fortune all the time. I assure you, I'm not in it for the money, but I've always wanted to be the best at whatever business I intended to start, and my goals, visions, and desires for this keep growing. I don't know if its God giving me my ideas and the desire to run a billion dollar corporation, or if its just what I've always wanted for selfish reasons. I've also been praying about my business goals all my life, and have always been scared that God would want me to do something else. I've sometimes even prayed things like "God, if you don't want this for me, change my desires before it'll hurt me too much" because I'm afraid I'll get so close and the door will close or something. My desires haven't gone away, and I'm still getting new ideas almost daily. What does the Bible and/or God say about situations like this?

Thanks!
